select and -- do what with/to the selection?

Edit | Find (and possibly: Replace) is what you are looking for. Click
"More" and then "Use wildcards."

In the "Find what" box: ALOk*ALOK1

Use the Find (Ctrl+F) to find ALOK. Click Cancel to close the dialog.

Then press F8, which turns on "extended selection mode".

Press Ctrl+F again and find ALOK1. That will select everything from the first
ALOK to the ALOK1.
