I Connected My Phone Line Sent A Fax And Had To
Call The Cable teck. to refress my modem. how can i use
windows xp fax and cable modem?

FAX protocol requires a standard modem, not cable and not DSL.

However, there are FAX gateways on the Net that will forward a FAX.

As the previous poster indicated, it is not possible to fax using a cable
modem, no matter how much you want to do it, no matter how often you try.

Faxing _requires_ a standard fax modem and fax software which is set up to
use that fax modem.
 
You can add fax capability from the Add/Remove Windows Components applet in
Control Panel. It will be using the modem in your computer over the
standard phone line, not the cable modem.
