How to expand the number of columns in a worksheet

Does anybody know if it's possible to expand the number of
columns in a worksheet (only up to "IV" in default), if it
is, how? I need to display a matrix of 400x400 in a
worksheet.

If you need to do anything numerically nontrivial with this matrix, you
shouldn't be using Excel. If you're *only* displaying it, you could use a
monospaced typeface and combine several space-separated entries into each
column.
