Hello all -

I've got myself into a hole. My "C" drive is only 4GB (disk is 2 18GB drives in a RAID1 config, there is approx 12GB of unallocated disk space behind the 4GB partition)

I need to get that 12 GB into the "C" drive. (There are still companies that build applications that MUST reside on C -
believe it or not)

I'm down to 180MB of space. I'd simply blow the thing away and do it over, except that this is a production server and it i
running SQL Server and I just don't want to start over unless it is absolutely necessary

Surely Microsoft must have a way to get me out of this hole? Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide

Microsoft won't help but the utilities here http://snipurl.com/3tah will be
able to expand your partition for you.

Simplest fix is to create a dynamic volume on the 12GB of freespace (or any
other HD laying about) and mount it onto the C drive as a folder - you can
then either install your software into this new folder or move existing
stuff in there to clear yourself a hole on your primary.

Thanks very much for your suggestions. But as often happens, time heals all emergencies. It was decided that we shoul
go back to running a cluster, so we're in the midst of blowing up both servers and re-installing. But I will file all this goo
stuff away and use it (WHEN, not IF) the need arises in the future
