I use an older version of Kerio Personal Firewall, which is typically closed
by bringing up a menu from its tray icon, choosing, exit, and answering, yes,
to the closing dialogue.
I would like to start my firewall, only when I dial onto the internet, and
close the firewall when I disconnect my dialup connection. Scripting and
programs that do this, usually attempt to close a program like Kerio by
some kind of external kill or quite functions.
For understandable reasons, Kerio and probably other firewalls do no
allow other programs to close them easily. There is no command line
switch to close kerio, and it is not easily closed by procedrues such as
the task manager's `end task'.
Is there anyway I can close Kerio without using its own menu interface?
All I can think of is a clunky macro recorder that imitates the mouse
movements and keystrokes to close it.
