My work day starts at 9:00 PM and ends at 5:00 AM. When I attempt to enter
this in Calendar Options, I'm halted with the statement " The end date you
entered occurs before the start date." Is there a way around this?

As far as I know, no. It's normally expected that the start time be before
the end time based on a single day. I don't think there's support for
wrap-around schedules like yours.

In Outlook you cannot define an end time after 11:30pm; therefore, the
work day must end by 11:30p

I don't believe this is true. You can enter any end time you wish. The
drop-down may not have the selection you want, but you can type what you
want in the field. "11:58 PM", for example, works just fine.

Thank you, your answer seems to be the consensus. One would hope that MS
will eventually allow for night shift people.

It is an often requested feature that may eventually make it into the
calendar but, from what I understand, it is hard to program it to work
correctly alongside "normal" shift times.
