I have recently purchased a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 7000 series. When
my computer goes into hiberationation (e.g. after an hour of no usage) I
cannot re-active my computer from my wireless keyboard. When I had my
keyboard wired plugged into my computer I could wake up my computer by simply
pressing the start bar. With the wireless keyboard it becomes very difficult
to do. Any suggestions on how to enable wireless wakeup with this keyboard
or when activity takes place through the USB blue tooth receiver?

In Control Panel (Classic View) go to Keyboard
Then click on the Power Management Tab
Put a check mark in the box that says "Allow this device to wake the computer"
Click OK to exit the dialog.

Hi There,

There is no Power Management tab. This tab may be removed with the wireless
keyboard drivers and software.

Any other suggestions?

Hi There, I have looked in Device Manager and cannot find the checkbox
mentioned. Can you let me know specifically where I can find this checkbox?

(Thank you again for your help)

I agree, there is no Power Management tab in Device Manager either under
Blue-tooth or keyboards.

I have solved this problem by turned off all Power Management for the
system, i.e., it is always fully on.

I have mine set sleep. To wake it, I press the SLEEP button on the keyboard,
or sometimes the space bar, and if neither work, I move the mouse around.
Sometimes it recovers quickly, others times not.

Hmmm... either I'm just blind or my blue-tooth keyboard doesn't have a
SLEEP button. Where would it be or what would it look like?
