I see references as to how to disable it, but not how to enable it. I
have win xp with service pack 2, which is supposed to have the
messenger, but I don't see. Where is it?

Thank you.

Greetings VR,

It should be under Start, Programs, Windows Messenger.

Alternatively you can click Start, then Run, type "msmsgs" and click OK.

If you still are having trouble, you can download the latest version here:

Thank you, Jonathan,

Typing "msmsgs" under Run worked. Now, is there a way to test one of my
cameras?
I have a USB camera (Fuju S5100 in Web mode) and a camcorder connected
to Radeon All in Wonder 9600. The messenger wants me to enter a
contact. Skype, for example, has a test mode.

Thank you.

Hi,

There's no echo service like Skype, but there's a wizard to test that the camera is
functioning. Just click the Tools menu, then Audio Tuning Wizard (yes it does video too).
