How to enable javascrpt

OK i have used the little help things on this website and
i just can't seem to get it to work. Everytime I click on
a javascrpt web link nothing happens at all. And I can't
get into some chat rooms. I'm pretty sure they are java
chat rooms but i might be wrong. Anyways any help out
there would be greaty appreciated.
