how to enable color when printing

(I have color cartridge in place) BUT I dont know where
to start to look for practical steps I can take to enable
the color cartridge to function on my LexmarkZ35 printer.
Everything else is functional.

RTFM, and by the way, unnecessary use of parentheses in
NG postings is considered whispering, and is very rude.
This is a Usenet rule that I just made up, but it makes
just as much sense as the all-caps-equals-shouting thing.
