How to enable 2nd processor on Win2K server after install.

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently running Windows 2K Server SP4 on a Compaq Proliant ML350 G1.
I just added a secondary processor a Pentium 3 1.0GHz, It displays the two
processor on Compaq hardware boot. On windows it only displays 1 proc on task
manager, System Summary & System variables. How can I enable the second proc
for windows 2k to see it? Any response or idea would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the default setting in TaskManager is to view all processers in one
graph.
In the Task Manger set your CPU History View to One Graph Per CPU
 
I have another server same model with 2 proc and displays 2 proc at system
sum, System variables and task man graph, performance, view, cpu history, I
have two selection 1 graph all cpu's & 1 graph per cpu. The only difference
is win2k server was installed when there was already 2 proc. I don't have
this option on the server that I recently added 2nd proc.
 
Go in the Device Manager and change the Uni-Processor hal to
Multi-processor hal. Usually an easy straightforward thing to do. Just
keep the same type of hal, example if you have a ACPI UniProc change it
to an ACPI MultiProc, replace Uni MPS with Multi MPS and so on. See here:
