How to enabe monitor?

I was trying to disable my TV out capability so I could watch a copyright
protected DVD and somehow disabled the monitor on my dell laptop. Now when I
turn on my laptop it powers up but has nothing on the screen. I even tried to
hook up a monitor to the back of the laptop and that didn't work. Is there
anyway I can change this in the set up somehow? I would appreciate anyone's
help.

Most Dell laptops have a blue FN key at the lower left part of the
keyboard.

On the F8 key there's often a blue wording CRT/LCD

Let it boot fully then try pressing the FN & the F8 key to enable the
LCD screen.
