I have a problem embedding WAV sounds to my PowerPoint presentation. The sounds are linked at the moment but I would like to have them embedded, how does that happen? I have been trying to search information from everywhere but there is none....

Wav files that greater than 100K is linked by default. You can increase
PowerPoint's default setting of 100k
to more: Tools-> Options -> General tab ->Link sounds with file size
greater than ---KB. then embed your audio file again.

Hi Karl

Thanks for your answer. My WAV sounds are all about 5MB. I dind´t understand what I should do, I don`t want to link my sound files but to embed them so they will be part of my presentation. Could you explain more clearly and sorry for being so ignorant

Aia,

Sorry to jump in, into the middle of a great conversation <g>, but is the 5

Happy to hear it, Aia. You can set "Link sounds with file size greater
than..." to 50000 KB(which = 50 MB). As long as your WAV file isn't greater
than 50 MB it will be embedded.

Just wanted to mention that you have to set the Tools/Options setting
*before* you insert your sounds into PPT. If you insert the sound and
then change the setting to allow a larger sound size to be embedded,
that sound file won't be embedded.

As long as you change it before inserting the sound files, though, they
will be embedded.
