Hi,

Could anyone help me to find out how I can email a word document that contains options buttons without the recipient recieving it in design mode.

Thank you

Hi, Rebecca,

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do from your end. The recipient must
change the security level in their copy of Word. Tell them to go to Tools >
Macro > Security and change the level from High to Medium. Each time they
open your document, they'll be asked whether to disable or enable macros
(the option buttons are considered the same as macros for this purpose). If
they click the Enable button, the document will open normally; if they click
Disable, it will open in design mode.

The problem is at the recipient's end. Option buttons from the Control Toolbox are ActiveX controls. This means they contain VBA elements, which in
turn triggers the macro security. The recipient needs to set macro security to "Medium" and then "trust" the document.
