How to edit right-click menu?

Software that has since been uninstalled had placed a
shortcut into the right mouse button context menu. As it
no longer applies, I would like to edit the right-click
menu to remove it. Obviously, the unistall did not clean
up after itself properly. Where is this information
stored, and how might I modify it?
