I have a Windows 2000 Server with OEM license key.

Our company just bought a volume license key. How do I edit/change
the license key on my machine without reinstalling?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Volume License Product Keys should not be used with retail full packaged
product or OEM CD media.

OEM versions of Windows are licensed "Original Equipment Manufacturer"
distributions of Windows. An OEM license, unless otherwise specified by the
OEM, is licensed for use only on the hardware it was distributed with. If
you attempt to mix or match product keys from Volume License, Retail or OEM
Software, unexpected behavior in the product could occur. Microsoft requires
you to match your installation media with the product key designed
specifically for that media.

Thanks for writing. So, the only way for me to have the VL key on my
machine is to reinstall the OS from VL media? I was hoping there was
a simpler solution.
