Hi - When typing a new email and i type the first few letters of the email address in the "To" area it brings up a selection of email addressess which have previously been used. My problem is these email addresses are no longer used and i am unable to locate them any where in the contacts file - so how do i either edit them or delete them.

Select and press Delete when you see one you don't want.

Try it again. That's the correct procedure.

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.

Ah, you're deleting the wrong thing. To remove an autocomplete entry, you
need to press delete when you see it in the autocomplete suggestion list.

It's not deleting. After i have typed inthe email address in the 'TO'
area and if i select one of the emails i want to get rid of and delete, it
does go. However when type the first few letters again on the 'TO' area it
is still appearing there and when i search for the same email in my contacts
it says that it does not exist.
