Hi!
I got a little problem here.
A few months ago I used to work in a dual monitor
workstation, now i'm working in a single monitor one.

Somehow 3D Studio Max (the software i'm working on
lately) it's opening one of the menu windows in the
second monitor area, i know it's opening that window
there.

The question is how to grag that window from that area.
to my working area (single monitor now)? The problem here
is that my cursor doesn't go all the way there....

Any suggestions other that to buy another dual monitor
workstation?

Thanks a lot.

Fernando

If I'm understanding your description correctly, the missing window is a
child to the parent (main program) window? Are there any menus in 3DMax
that might help you out with this? Look for menus or submenus with terms
such as: Window, Layout, Workspace.

If you find a "Window" menu, use Cascade (or Tile) to pull the window back
into the main work area. Or, if available, restoring a "default" layout or
workspace should also bring the missing window back into view.

Keyboard shortcuts: If the program's child windows contain a "system icon"
in the upper *left* hand corner, click on one of those that you can see.
Then use Ctrl+F6 to cycle from one to the next. If you have a couple of
these windows in the work area, you should be able to see the focus moving
from the title bar of one child window to the next.

You're going to have to guess the best that you can when you have the focus
on the missing control window. When the focus moves "off screen," press
Alt+Spacebar to access the system menu (you won't be able to see this since
the window is off screen). Then press M to activate the Move command. Use
the keyboard's arrow keys to navigate the window back into sight.

If you're still stuck without the window, suggest contacting tech support
for the program. You need them to tell you how to reset the coordinates for
the program's child windows.
