I'm trying to download Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 from the Microsoft
website but although I've tied up my phone line for hours, it just came out
that the file was corrupt. I tried the same with one of the much smaller
security patches and got the same result - corrupt file. I thought
(reluctantly) about buying the SP2 CD but I'm in the UK and the link to
buying from non-US sites is dead.

I want the Service pack because I will probably want to reformat soon and I
need SP2 before I can install the patch to guard against the blaster virus.
Last time, I got the Nachi virus within minutes of going online to download
the patch against blaster! The mini-version of SP2 requires you to be
connected to the internet before you can use it. Grrrr!

Any hints for how to download successfully?

Phone MS (it's an 0870 number) and you should be able to order SP2, 3
and 4 for nothing! (I've already mentioned to them about the ordering
link going round and round in circles, back to the US site!)

Can I do this even in the UK?
