How to display contact's email address ONLY in to: with Auto-Compl

When I compose a new message in Outlook, and begin typing the person's name,
sometimes it shows a Name/Email address for the auto-complete options,
sometimes just a name. If it's just a name, I can't be sure if it sending to
the correct email address. What I'd like is, when I start typing a name, it
either ALWAYS gives me the name/email address or just the email addresses for
contacts that match my typing so far.

Does that make sense? Any way to have that without individually changing
all my contacts?

We must know your Outlook version.
Also, state more clearly how you are entering these addresses into the To:
field. Are you pulling them from the suggested names dropdown
(autocompletion), from the Outlook Address Book, or from the Check Names
dialog (autoresolution).

It's Outlook 2003. I am entering a name in the To: line of an email, and it
pops up with a list of names as soon as I start. This is the list I'm
talking about. I want to see email addresses, not just names.

Then you can't use the autocompletion cache for entering names. That's not
how it stores entries.
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here. Why is what appears in the
To: field of consequence?
