Hi everyone,
does anybody know how to disable WinXP's firewall ? PC's
running in a network (MSSBS 2003) and has SP2 installed...

This article describes how to deploy the appropriate configuration
settings for Windows Firewall on an organization network so that
it is enabled and providing protection, and so that communications
are not impaired:

Thanks, I'll try to do this tomorrow.

I have been trying for a week to get my home network to go. The desktop can
ping the laptop but the laptop only gets a "timed out" when trying to connect
to the desktop. The laptop has the firewall disabled but it will not disable
on the desktop. More nuisance than it is worth would rather have my own
which I do and it is much better, now I want to uninstall this XP2 firewall
but HOW???????????
