Start - > Run - > MSconfig

If you can't find 'run' than you will want to look in the starbuttons'
properties, or just type in the searchbox msconfig, as the searchbox can
also launch programs.

There in Msconfig is a tab "tools" and there you will find "Disable UAC" -
that turns off User Account Control ( what makes all these nasty popups . )
A reboot is necessary to take effects.

But remember - if you turn this off, you are unprotected and have the basic
security settings like in XPSP2.Notice that the statusbar in
InternetExploder will then print "Proteceted Mode: off" .

It's your decision. If you are a experienced user and have a very good
virus-tool running you can take the risk. If not, you should not do so.

Start > Control Panel > Userr Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts >
Turn User Account Control on or off

Hope this helps :-)
