When I right mouse click on a file in Windows Explorer or
My Computer and select a virus scan, it causes an error
which causes my PC to automatically reboot.

I am using EZAV antivirus from Computer Associates. I
emailed their support, and they wrote back that I should
try disabling the automatic reboot feature, but they
didn't say how to do that. Since their support has such a
long turn around time, I thought I'd try the question
here. So how do I disable the feature that causes an
automatic reboot when there is an error?

I am running Win2k SP4.

Thanks.

Start/Settings/ControlPanel/System, select Advanced tab, select Startup
& Recovery. Uncheck automatic reboot on error.

This will cause the BSOD to remain onscreen until you manually reboot.

It will not fix the error causing the system to crash.

Thank you. Perhaps that screen can give me some information however.
