Nick--
If you want to save CPU, you can either end the BCM associated services at
task manager, or put "services.msc" in the run box and disable them there.
However, to run BCM and have it associate with OL, you're going to have to
start these services before you fire up OL are it's going to ask you if you
want to relegate BCM to a disabled add-in and bring up OL without it.
The services you can turn off (and will need to be started when you want to
run BCM, are in alphabetical order:
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM
SQLAgent$MICROSOFTBCM
Server
The top two are responsible for anything you see with SQL in it as a
process in Task Manager. I find that you don't have a corresponding process
in TM for Server--just for the top two.

Sql server shows running in the task manager as a process, and I want to
disable it by default. When I break it manually it affects the business
contact manager, so it tells me this is where sql is coming from. It is
mainly to free up memory.
Thanks,
