hi, I'm win 2000 pro user. I was wondering if I could
disable the password at the start of the windows (I sign
up as an administrator). I find that it is very time
comsuming since I am the only user of this computer.

thanks in advance.

Go to Control Panel->Users and Passwords-> uncheck "Users must enter a
username and password to use this computer"

Better be careful

You need to set a complex password for your administrators account, set up a
second administrators account with complex password, write down the user and
password and store in a safe place away from your computer, set up users and
give limited authority. Best to think of something you can't forget also,
like Fathers first name+last four digits of his phone number+Fathers last
name(all in lower case0(or everyother letter uper and lower) second account
Mothers first+last four digits of phone number+her maiden last name. You
also can use all of the numbers in phone number (hackers may use a lookup
for this. But you can put them down backwards also. Hope this all not too
confusing. Sorry I butted in, but it's for your protection. You'll find out.
This all to keep unwanted hackers out of your computer.
