Hi,

Does any one know how to disable IP filter after Windows 2000 VPN is
configured?
My server is Windows 2000 server with SP4 installed + latest hotfix, every
time after
I finished the configuration of the VPN server, there is none port opening
on the Internet Public
Interface, but Private Interface (except port 1723 and ID Protocol 47 are
opened on the Internet NIC as
I analyzed the port opening).

My question that how we disable the automatic IP filtering of Windows 2000
VPN after we configure
the VPN server on the server?

Thanks for your help,
J.H

assuming you don't have NAT enabled, this may help. quoted from

Security on Windows VPN Server
A Windows 2000 VPN server is installed with a default set of Input and
Output filters on the external adapter. These filters support PPTP, L2TP,
and IPSec connectivity only and block other traffic.. However, the filters
can be modified. To modify the filters, go to RRAS>IP Routing>General,
right-click the external adapter and select Properties.
