How to disable auto start up items

I'm completely new to XP and I can't seem to figure this out. I had Win98
before and it was:
System Information > Start Up

This isn't available in WinXP. How exactly would I accomplish this?

Start - Run - "msconfig" - Startup tab will provide this.
