how to disable a screensaver policy

At my job they rolled out a global screensaver policy to lock the xp
workstation after 30minutes of inactivity. How can i disable this on my pc? i
have admin rights.

Here's the technical answer, I'll leave the HR issue up to you (these
settings are usually approved by the people whose job it is to care about
security.
You can edit the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveTimeOut ... doesn't even require admin rights.) But
the thing about group policy is that it will keep refreshing the value to
what they set and the only way to prevent THAT without the domain admins'
help is to pull the computer out of the domain (which would give you other
problems...) The frequency of the update would depend on how the domain is
configured (it's not just when you log in and out.)

30 minutes is pretty generous :)
