How to delete the search history

Can someone please tell me when i can find the file that
contains all the historical data entered when performing
a search from within google or msn or any other search
engine.....the list i have now is huge and i need to
delete some of the enteries......

It's stored in the Registry.
You can delete an entry by highlighting it and pressing the Delete key.
