In IE in the Address window where I type in the web page I wish to
visit...there is a drop down arrow on the right which displays previous
visits...
Q1 Can I delete them all?
Q2 Can I delete selected addresses?
Q3 Can I increase/decrease the number of addresses listed there?
Q4 Can I limit the addresses by date accessed?

Thanks,
John

First of all Yest you can clear all of them by selecting the following.

1.Open internet explorer
2.find the tools tab under the tools tab there should be internet options
select internet options.
3. A window should appear and there should be a button visible labled clear
history please select that button after you have selected that button a
window should appear with the the following "Are you sure you whant to delete
you history" select yes.
4. Finally click ok and there you go your clean.

Hi,
Those are in a TypedURLs key in the registry. This article explains the
TypedURLs list:
157729 - How to Clear the History Entries in Internet Explorer:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q157729
You can clear some or all by editing that registry key.

These two freeware programs will remove some or all entries:
IE Address Bar Editor: http://www.freesoft.fsnet.co.uk/ieedit01.htm
EditURLs: http://www.aandrc.com/editurls/index.htm

And... if you type in URLs via File> Open, they won't go into the TypedURLs
list and you can keep just a select few in that list. Only URLs typed into
the Address Bar go into that list.

Q3 They're limited to 25 URLs. You can have fewer than 25.
Q4 Nope. But you can use that handy tip I provided about File> Open to
control the list.

Hope this helps,
Don
