Hello,

I made a mistake with my site and would like to delete it on the server
Which is the safest wayto do that?

If the server has the FP extensions, then open it directly in FP, then go to
Tools | Web Settings | Advanced tab and make sure View hidden directories is
checked.

Next switch to Folder View, select everything, EXCEPT _private and images
folders, and delete. Next open the _private and images folders and delete
any content within these two folders.

But before you do that also find and delete on you PC the *.web files associated w/ that web

| When deleting the site in this manner, will it leave extensions and other

| Thanks,

.Hi,
2 ways to do that, if you are not sure contact your
hosting co, and they will di it for you..
Or, when you publish your site, the right side of the
double window is what is on the server, and the left is
what's on your pc, youcan highlight any or all files on
the right side and that will delete it.
Or you can fix the problem on your pc, and republish with
the option ( changed pages only ), it will then say.. (
the file bla bla is on your destination but not here do
you want windows to delete it?) " or some like that..
Hope it helps.
Gerard.

When I make a major goof and want to delete the web I
have created in FrontPage I just open the web in front
page and then go to the web folder in folder view and
right click and select delete - it comes with an option
to delete the web entirely or delete the FrontPage
information only.
If I accidentally delete my server extensions they can
always be popped back in using the web server control
panel.
Hope this helps.

You can not delete a root web on a remote server from FP unless the host
provides control panel access, which is normal accomplished by deleting your
account.
