I use Windows XP Pro on a Dell desktop PC. Several people use this computer
and thus there are several profiles on the machine, of which I am the only
Administrator. The configuration of the machine is a C: hard drive and a F:
hard drive.
I restored part of a backup to recover a file that I lost. I recovered it
by placing the recovery on a new folder on the F: drive. After not finding
the file in question I tried to delete the folder and was refused permission.
When I look at folder attributes it shows readonly. When I attempt to
change this it says I do not have access to mak the change.
When I right click on the folder and choose properties I get a window with
general, sharing, and customize. There is nothing I see under sharing that
will give me permission to delete files.
How do I get permission to delete a file folder when I created it?
