how to create pdf?

hi

i have ms word, how can i save/create a pdf file? do need to get some kind
of writer? i've seen an option on my m8s pc, where when he goes to print, he
can print it to a pdf document. (save)

there are two ways. Either get a free pdf "printer" or use Open office.

Well, those are two ways, but they are certainly not the *only* two ways.
One can also buy Adobe Acrobat or use WordPerfect. There may also be other
applications which can create pdf files.

True. But why pay for something that can legally be obtained for nothing?

OK. I just wanted to clarify what was available. Your first message made it
sound like those were the only two choices one could make.

I used to use CutePDF but switch to PDFCreator. They work as printer
drivers: if your application can print, you can create a PDF file.
 
One can also buy Adobe Acrobat

I purchase Acrobat Professional since I like to digitally sign my
documents so that people are sure that they have the real thing.

I've not seen that available in Free products, but it may not be an
issue for someone seeking a free version.
