How to create mailing lists that excludes contacts marked private

When I attempt to create lables using word, all of the names come through
when I have marked many as private. How do I arrange those, or is there a
better way to get lables that exclude the contacts marked personal?
 
Filter the Contacts folder to show only non-private items before you use the Tools | Mail Merge command in Outlook to start the merge.
