How to create detail from v-cards?

After creating a v-card file I found only e-mail addresses? How do I go back
to the detail files?
 
Perhaps you could explain what you mean.
Be generous with details.

Ok. I created a Category within CONTACTS and somehow exported all 52 of the
detail address cards into oblivion. Previously I had created a sort on just
the e-mail addresses for the same Category which I still have but I have not
been able to get the detail back so I can print a summary of all 52 names
with the detail for a list that I need. In the process, from the e-mail list,
I made V-CARDS thinking that I could recreate the Category but I have not
been able to get back to the detail address cards. Any thoughts would be
appreciated.

There is more to this story.
Exporting does not remove the original data source.
It is hard to help when we do not know what you did.
Do you back up your data?
