how to create button to open a specific word doc

I have designed an access database and have form data mail merging to word
documents. I have a button to open microsoft word (event procedure). How can

It all depends on your code. Please submit it to review/analyze the
modification to open a specific document..

The simplest way to open a specific document is with something like

Application.FollowHyperlink "D:\Folder\Filename.doc"

If you want to do things to the document under program control once it's
open, you need to use Automation. See e.g.
