Hello.
I haven't worked with Excel very much in the last several years, bu
understand spreadsheets and formulas...
I have a workbook that consists of a worksheet that is one data table
roughly 15 columns and about 300 rows. I am tracking IP addresses
VLANs hostnames etc.
What I need to be able to do is present the data that is stored in th
table in a summary fashion that has a header link for each VLAN tha
contains vlan name/number, network address, broadcast address, defaul
route etc. Then under that heading have the details such as hostname
IP address, mac address for each of the hosts in that vlan. etc.
I don't know if this formation will make it through but I nee
something that looks like this:
vlan number, vlan name, network address
----------------------------------------------------
hostname, ip address, mac adress
hostname, ip address, mac addres
etc...
Also, I think I need to link the cells so that if someone makes
change or addition in the "summary report" that change is reflected i
the underlying table of data...
Whew!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,
steve
