How to create a new web site locally before publishing?

Friends - I want to create a new web site on my PC and perfect it prior to
publishing it to the web. How is that done? - Thanks - GB
 
Read all the articles in the Table of Contents in the FrontPage help files.

Thank you Tom! I created a new web in a folder I named 'Bob Webs'.
Frontpage keeps defaulting to the 'My Webs' and pulling in 'stuff' from
other of my webs. This aspect of FP has always confused me, and I struggle
to keep the various web site 'files' discrete. What am I doing wrong? I
remember that in previous versions of FP I created a Web page, which was the
index the home page combined. Then I created new pages attached to the index
(home page). Thanks for your help - Bob
 
Sounds like you are creating loose pages, not webs. A new web will be
created in its own folder along with other special files needed for a fp web
when you create a new web - the folder itself will have a little blue globe
on it.
