I am building a web site for a print shop and they want their customers to be
able to up load files of their print jobs. I can't find anything like this
in FrontPage. I think I just don't know what to look for?

Hi there
Just upload your files you want people to acces, INclude them with our
website, to your server. Then write the nameof your file..FREE FILE (or
whatever) then put a hyperlinkof that text to your file. It will prompt your
visitors to download. I can walk you through this if you email or leave your
ph number, no charge or anything but I can ph anywhere in north america and
some other countries,

cheers

FP only supports a limited File Upload
(on windows servers w/ hosts that will allow the permissions to be changed)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;299763&Product=fp2002
For anything more complex you will need a server side script supported by your host

Ask your host about allowing FTP uploads.

I went to a competitor of this Print Shop and found a site that did this. I
thought they would use a password to get into an area but no password. It
seemed they use “Forms†to get the job done? Does this make any sense at all.

You still need to contact your web host, as your web host must allow you have the ability to have
files uploaded to their server site visitors.

You may want to use php. I can show you if you are interested, no charge,
you can make a site, or part of your site, password(or not) protected where
people can upload and download stuff. You can make it a pay site or not.
Your host has to have the capability first, though
I can walk you through front page issues, just email me and I will phone
you, anywhere in north america and some countries (I have a great ph plan)
no charge free
