how to covert date format dd-mm-yy to this format yy-mm-dd

Have you looked into the Format() command in Access HELP?

You posted in the "externaldata" newsgroup ... I don't understand where you
are seeing this format, and where you are trying to change the format
(?convert).

If you open a form that includes a control based on the table field, open
the properties of that form, select the Format property, and click F1, you
should get Access HELP on that topic.
