How do I copy Links Golf game to my new hard drive? I can't boot up the old
drive due to blue screen, but I can access the drive.

How do I save and copy all the files so I can install it to the new drive,
and retain all the same settings?

Thanks, Carol

Hi Carol,

If you just copy the game directory from the old drive to the
new drive it still won't work properly if at all. You need to
install your game again using the original CD's you purchased.

If the save games are located in the Links directory then you can copy them
across (usually in a directory like "saves" or something) if not I'm sure
someone will point you to the right.

However game settings are often stored in the computer registry so
retrieving these may prove very difficult if not impossible if the drive no
longer boots.

I setup a dual-boot 98-XP once where Links2003 was already installed under
98. Ran no problem when started under XP without re-install or anything so
would assume it would do the same for the described scenario..
