How to copy a contact?

Hi,
I see the "New contact from same company" button, but I'd also like to make
a new contact with all fields, including my user-generated fields, filled in
so that all I'd have to do is change the name.

Is there a way to copy a contact so I can do this? Many fields aren't
reproduced by the "New contact..." button.

Thanks,

Barnet

Open up the folder view in the left pane and select the Business
Contacts folder. In the list of contacts select the one you want to
clone, and drap and drop it onto the Business Contacts folder in the
left pane. It should (I'm not at a machine with BCM to test this...)
prompt you saying the contacts already exists, and do you want to
create a copy? Create a copy. All the fields in the copy should be the
same. Open the copy and enter the new contact's name.

Hi Luther,

I tried this but it doesn't seem to work. I drag 'n' drop the contact back
into the folder and nothing happens.

What do you think?

Thanks,

Barnet

This works for me:
Drag contact from Business Contact folder to Accounts folder, creates
a copy in Accounts folder.
Drag contact from Accounts folder to Business Contacts folder, and I
now I have two copies of same contact in Business Contacts folder.
Rename the new contact to the new name.
Delete extra contact left in Accounts folder.

The behavior may vary depending on Outlook or BCM version. You can
also try dragging with the right button.
