For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to convert my
D-drive from FAT32 to NTFS. I've got a bunch of stuff on that drive.
It's a partition on the C-drive. I just want to convert. Do NOT want
to reformat!

Any help appreciated.

I'm not on my XP machine now so I don't know the exact
syntax.

Open up Help.

Search for "convert NTFS"

you will find it is a command line that you execute, then
reboot machine, I belive it is:

convert c: \fs ntfs

but double check with help, (might even try convert ?)

You can safely convert the partition to NTFS whenever desired,
without having to format the partition and reinstall everything. As
always when performing any serious changes, back up any important data
before proceeding, just in case. A little advance preparation is also
strongly recommended, so you can avoid any performance hits caused by
the default cluster size:

The best thing would be to use Partition Magic 8.0 - this
has all the various conversions and will do it on the fly.
