How to convert embedded files into linked files

Hi I was hopping some one could help me out .I have a data base with lots of embedded files PDF,WORD,EXCEL files and I wish to change these to Linked files .I do not have the original files only the ones in the data base .Any one have an easy way of achieving this ? Thanks for the assistance
