I am a new user of Windows 2000 server.
I just installed thw windows2000 with IIS5.0.
I did not do any configuration yet. I want to connect
to the Default web page from another machine,
but I cannot do it. the two machines are connected through
a crossover cable. Pinging each other is OK.

The default web page can be seen at local machine
with http://localhost.

Please help. Very much apprecaited

Louis

Try http://<ipaddress of the IIS machine>

example: IIS machine's IP address is 1.2.3.4
http://1.2.3.4

Hi, Marc:

Thanks for your help.
I tried the way you told me here. use
http://100.200.55.55 which is my win 2000 server IP
address. But it says Website is not available,
ask if you want to connect or work offline.
When I click connect. nothing happens just give me
a blank page. My conneting machine is a win 98.
I also use it to dialup to internet. but at the time of
this try. dialup line is not used.

Thanks
