Hi,

Could anyone please help us to hook up our computers. One is a PC laptop
with XP Media Center Edition, the other one is PowerBook G4 OSX using an
Ethernet HUB with built-in ADSL modem?

Thanks

Can you elaborate on what you're wanting to do? Share files? Share
printers?

Mac OS X 10.3 introduced Windows file sharing capabilities. Open Apple
menu --> System Preferences... --> Sharing and enable Windows Sharing.
Once enabled, you'll see instructions for how Windows users should be
able to connect.

Sharing a printer can be more complicated depending on the model of
printer you are trying to use. Not all printers can be shared
cross-platform and sharing from Windows is typically easier to make work
than from the Mac.

Additionally, you can install an application common to both platforms
for file sharing such as AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). This requires the
least effort but not all features such as video or audio may be
supported. iChat, which comes with Mac OS X, supports AIM natively.

Hope this helps! bill
