Hello;

I have two sites connected by a T1 at 384k. Windows 2000 servers are going
in at each site. Each site needs to be independant, however users need to
have authentication at the remote site.

Would this config be two trees in a single forest?

Or, how would be the smartest way to configure the AD?

thanks
Alan

The "best way" to set this up would depend upon your needs. Sounds like you
would want to have a single domain. Create a site in AD for each location
and a subnet for each IP subnet. This will get local authentication working
as the DC's will cover their respective sites. The clients will discover the
local DC's through DNs lookups. You may wnat to look at these KB's
