how to configure NIC?

Need some advice.
I have a system which running on windows2000 domain server. 2 NIC card was
installed. 1 card was connected to internet which obtain DHCP from ISP
(202.156.X.X), another one was configure 192.168.0.1 (private lan). I have a
client machine connect to it. My cleint machine was configure 192.168.0.5. I
was able to ping from client to server. but can't access to internet. why?
Please help.

I assume the setup you have is very similar to mine.
2 network cards, one for the internet and one for the LAN.
Are you using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)?. When you
enable ICS it asks you which NIC is connecting to the
Internet and then sets the other one to 192.168.0.1. This
second card then dishes out I.P addresses to all clients
using DHCP to enable them to connect to the Internet.
