How to clear the logon cache?

I have a Win2K domain controller, and a Win2K laptop on the domain. Recently,
I had to create a new user account. I created the account, then logged on
successfully from the laptop. Later on I realised that I had forgot to
provide some rights to the user, so I added to him as a member of an existing
group. Now, when I login as this user on the laptop, I do not see my rights
activated. I have tried rebooting the laptop, as well as the domain
controller! But, nothing helped. I even disabled the logon cache count in the
laptop's security policy settings. In fact, even when my laptop is not
connected to the network, it is able to logon. How do I clear the cached
information, so that my credentials are reestablished with the domain
controller, and I get the rights I have been assigned?

Thanks!

A guess--sounds like you have a locally created log on profile stored. On
the laptop, delete the user profile (system properties) while logged on as
another admin. Delete all the folders manually under Documents and Settings.
Then log on to the machine with the new user.

I tried clearing the user profile cache from the system properties dialog.
But, that did not help, although my other settings (recent documents, etc.)
got cleared. I did not check whether anything was left behind in the
Documents and Settings folder. I will do so. Another strange thing is that, I
logged on using this user on the domain controller itself, and there
everything was fine. However, when I logged on as this user on a third PC
(for the first time as this user), I faced the same problem. My rights were
not available to me!
