In start | Search | For Files or Folders, how do we clear the history of
"search for files or folders named:" and "containing text" fields?? Because
when we type something, it will show the text we typed before.

Thanks!

Click Start, Search and scroll down and you will find the option to "Turn
Autocomplete Off".

I am using Windows 2000, but I couldn't see that feature. I shouldn't post
in XP group. I am sorry.

Hi
Start -> Run -> regedit.exe -> OK.
Delete the previous search entries in the right pane:

This is a 2000 group, not an XP group.

Here is how to clear that type of stuff:
1. Right click on an empty area on the task bar (yeah, right... empty
space?)
2. Choose Properties
3. Click on Advanced
4. Click on Clear
4a. Wait a bunch of time
5. Hit OK

He crossposted into several groups and I didn't notice it when I replied.
He should have left off the XP groups.
